We’ve just gotten back from our travel adventure to Blackpool for my birthday weekend! A very British seaside town I been to many a time since I was a little kid, Emma spent lots of Summers there too, so there’s a non-zero chance we could have both been there at the same time before we ever met!
We stayed in a lovely AirBnB place, we got a whole house for the Weekend as Emma’s Mum and John joined us.
Over the weekend we did almost all the usual Blackpool activities:
- went on all the piers
- saw the illuminations
- played in the arcades
- ate junk food
- went on the rides in the pleasure beach
- Saw the fireworks!!
This was the first time I’d seen fireworks at the pleasure beach and they were pretty good! Not quite Alton Towers! It also made a change as most of my birthday recently have been spent at the Carlisle Fire Show!
A notable thing we didn’t do was Go Up the Tower, we’ve done this quite a few times in the past, mostly when we used have Merlin Annual Passes, so this time we skipped that, but still got a nice selfie in front of it before we left and went home…
